32nd SS Volunteer Grenadier Division 30th Januar

The division was named after the date when the NSDAP and Adolf Hitler gained power – January 30, 1933.

The division was formed in January 1945 in Kurmark out of the remains of several units and of the Kampfgruppe Kurmark. The division's headquarters' members and soldiers were brought from several SS-Schools. The division was sent to the front after being trained for a short period of time. From February to March 1945 they suffered great losses on the Oder front. One part of the division was at the same time battling in the Fürstenberg-Finkenheerd area. The other part was battling South of Berlin. Some survivors surrendered in May 1945 to the US troops in Tangermunde.
